We all want to feel awesome, right?
I want to share with you 10 easy action items that will help you feel AWESOME . . . today (or tomorrow.) I promise 🙂
1) Begin your day with gratitude.
Start your morning– before even opening your eyes – with gratitude. For your warm bed, the roof over your head, running water, the job you have to go to. . .
2) Cultivate Self Love.
Tell yourself you love yourself while looking into your own eyes in the mirror.
3) Tune In.
In any form – repeat a mantra (Transcendental), through controlled breath (Kundalini), Guided (Buddhist) etc. Find what works for you. You’ll know it when you feel it. Dedicate at least 5 minutes in the morning.
4) Eat For Health.
Eat alkalizing foods as much as possible. Green leafy vegetables, lemon water, and apple cider vinegar. (And skip the donuts…sugar is a silent killer and reverses the positive alkalizing effect)
5) Support Your Microbiome.
Consume probiotics in various forms to maintain good gut health (this is key to so much! Digestion = nutrition = energy = quality of life.)
6) Take An Honest Look At What You Tell Yourself.
Notice your self-talk. Like, really pay attention to your inner dialogue. What mean things do you say to yourself that you’d never say to someone else? Who’s voice is that saboteur? Notice it and clean it up because those thoughts become emotions that vibrate with energy and create your life experience.
7) Be generous.
Give or help someone in need. And know that we are all connected at our energy source so what you give to others you are giving to yourself.
8) Use the F-word.
I mean forgiveness people, sheesh! Think of someone you can forgive today. Maybe it’s as small as the jackass who cut you off on the road…or maybe it’s as big as forgiving yourself for something you did (or didn’t do.) Forgiveness is a tool for shifting your energy from constricted to expansive – from negative to positive. It’s freeing and truly vital to good health and well-being. This may sound stupid, but don’t knock it ’till you try it! (For real!)
9) Share The Love.
Send loving thoughts to those around you. Everything is energy, and though you might not think so, people can feel what you’re thinking about them. Try walking into a room of people and in your mind surround the room with love. Sitting in a long, boring meeting at work? Silently bless each person around the conference room table with love. Sounds woo-woo, but it works to not only make you feel good, but others will feel good around you.
10) Do Something That Truly Makes You Happy.
Maybe it’s gardening so you take the time to water your plants. Maybe it’s writing so you write this post (me!) Maybe it’s curling up with a good book… or taking a warm bath…or enjoying a piece of chocolate. Whatever it is, small or large. Do it, and do it consciously. Enjoy every second. You’re worth it!
Okay so I know I said 10 things. But hey, I’m gonna throw a bonus one at ya. Cuz I’m cool like that 😉
BONUS #11) End Your Day With Gratitude.
The time we sleep is so valuable for resting and regenerating our bodies. But it’s also a super crucial time for our minds, so instead of going straight from negative news on TV or a violent Game Of Thrones episode (I’m guilty!) take a couple minutes to journal or mentally list out what went right today. By focusing on the positive of your day you perpetuate the good vibes and will drift off to sleep feeling good. You’ll also sleep more soundly in contrast to stressing about something that went wrong and burdening your mind with negativity.
So that’s it folks! Even if you try just a couple of these things. . . or even one a day I bet you anything you feel the results (and as a bonus the people around you will too!)
